2D and 3D digital imaging - PiedRéseau Châteauguay/Mercier
PiedRéseau Châteauguay/Mercier offers advanced 2D and 3D digital imaging services to enhance the accuracy of foot assessments. This innovative technology allows for precise foot digitization, capturing the imprint of the feet to facilitate accurate diagnoses and the design of custom-made plantar orthotics. The use of a podograph for 2D impressions and a three-dimensional sensor for 3D scanning ensures that our podiatrists can quickly conceptualize the foot’s morphology and identify sources of discomfort.
The 2D digital imaging process provides detailed mapping of pressure points under the foot, revealing critical characteristics such as foot size, arch type, and weight distribution. While 2D scanning is efficient, our 3D technology offers enhanced capabilities, accurately reproducing the entire morphology of the foot. This not only saves time in diagnosing plantar disorders but also allows for the creation of highly customized orthotics tailored to individual needs.
Our digital imaging techniques are painless and involve several steps to ensure comprehensive analysis. Whether through load, semi-load, or no-load impression techniques, our podiatrists gather essential data to support treatment plans effectively. This modern approach significantly improves the patient experience compared to traditional methods, providing a quicker and more comfortable scanning process.
The PiedRéseau team consists of Marilyne Chiasson, podiatrist-owner; Maude Yelle, podiatrist; Fannie-Matilde Leblond-Lambert, podiatrist; Marwa Kaffel, podiatrist; Joanie Renaud, Foot Care Auxiliary Nurse; and Camille Ingley.
