Recently graduated from the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières (UQTR), podiatrist Dr Simon Desrochers obtained his doctorate in podiatric medicine in 2020.

Newly arrived at the heart of the Pied Réseau Granby team, he can draw on expertise from the multiple podiatry courses that he completed in Montreal surgeries, as well as in private practices throughout the Estrie region (Granby, Sherbrooke, and Magog).

Despite already being fully qualified, Desrochers is committed to continuing his education and growing his knowledge as far as possible, particularly with the help of a foot ultrasonography course.

Dr. Annabel Bourgault, Podiatrist

The journey of Dr. Annabel Bourgault, a podiatrist, is impressive in terms of the diversity and breadth of her skills. Holding a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from UQTR, she honed her expertise during several internships in her final year of study. In contact with several podiatrists specializing in osseous surgery, she refined her understanding of foot osseous surgeries. Subsequently, she strengthened her skills in complex wound care at the Complex Wound Clinic of Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis Hospital, as well as at the Diabetic Foot Clinic at the Lanaudière Hospital Center in Joliette.

Dr. Bourgault’s achievements are driven by her commitment to not only provide effective treatments to her patients but also to help support their long-term healing. This essential need was observed particularly in diabetic patients to prevent recurrences. Today, Dr. Bourgault, a podiatrist, offers podiatric care that meets the highest quality standards, whether it’s dermatological care, pain relief, or the treatment of foot injuries.

Dedicated and compassionate, Dr. Bourgault, a podiatrist, has been committed to her community since her years of study, taking on responsibilities in community podiatric clinics. Dr. Lottinville, a podiatrist, initially earned a bachelor’s degree in ecology from the University of Sherbrooke in 2016, providing him with a strong scientific foundation and developing his critical thinking skills. With this solid base, combined with several years of experience in the environmental field, he then transitioned to the healthcare sector and successfully completed his undergraduate degree in podiatric medicine at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.

Dr. Lottinville advocates for interprofessional collaboration and believes that to effectively relieve his patients’ symptoms, he must first identify the source of their problems. Recognizing the importance of evidence-based practices and staying updated on knowledge in the field, he enhances his mastery of vascular, neurological, dermatological, biomechanical examination techniques, and medical imaging. Through gait analysis and the study of anatomy, he establishes clear and precise diagnoses that allow him to effectively treat his patients’ pain.

In addition to the knowledge and skills gained during his doctorate, he was the first student to undertake an internship at the prestigious Zivot Limb Preservation Centre in Calgary. This renowned hospital-based institute allowed him to further refine his expertise in wound care and surgical techniques, including amputations. Diabetic patients suffering from foot lesions or ulcers can rely on his expertise in a humane and friendly environment.
