A rich and varied professional background
In addition to her degree in podiatric medicine, Dr. Barbe, podiatrist, also completed an externship at the prestigious New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she honed her knowledge in many areas, in clinical and hospital settings:

- Foot and ankle surgery;
- Biomechanics;
- Gait analysis;
- Treatment of complex wounds.
Not content with that, this podiatrist subsequently completed another externship in a Quebec hospital setting at the Lanaudière Regional Hospital Center (CHRDL) in Joliette, and at the Trois-Rivières Regional University Affiliated Hospital Center (CHAUR).
During this internship, she notably refined her techniques in diabetic wound care while deepening her knowledge in pharmacology and general medicine. It was also during this externship that she discovered an interest in diabetic foot and wound care.
To top it all off, Dr. Barbe, DPM, completed a humanitarian internship in Vietnam in 2019 to provide podiatric care to those in need. During this trip, she developed valuable knowledge in the neuromuscular field by working with patients who had suffered strokes.
