Holder of a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Dr. Samy Ajarrag, Podiatrist, adopts a compassionate, thorough, and patient-centered approach to care. Passionate about biomechanics, foot medicine, and evidence-based approaches supported by the latest scientific research, he places great importance on providing modern, personalized treatments tailored to each patient’s lifestyle.
Also holding a Master’s degree with a research focus, Dr. Ajarrag continuously keeps his knowledge up to date in order to integrate the latest treatments and technologies into his practice. Throughout his academic and clinical training, he has also distinguished himself by receiving several awards recognizing his commitment and professionalism.
During his clinical and hospital-based rotations, notably at the Centre Hospitalier Régional de Lanaudière (CHRDL) and at the Zivot Limb Preservation Centre of the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, he developed a strong interest in diabetic foot care, the prevention of complications, and the management of complex foot and ankle pathologies, including certain conditions that may require surgical intervention.
Interested in sports medicine and musculoskeletal foot and ankle pain, Dr. Ajarrag favors an approach aimed not only at relieving pain, but also at identifying its underlying cause in order to help his patients return to their activities quickly and with confidence.
