Podopediatrics treatments - PiedRéseau Sainte-Marie de Beauce

PiedRéseau Sainte-Marie de Beauce offers specialized podopediatric treatments designed to address the unique foot care needs of children. Understanding that children’s feet are still developing, our clinic emphasizes early detection and intervention to ensure healthy growth and mobility. Our podiatrists utilize advanced diagnostic techniques to assess each child’s foot health comprehensively, allowing for tailored treatment plans that effectively address various foot conditions.

Among the services provided, we offer custom children’s foot orthoses, which can be prescribed as early as age three. These orthotics are specifically designed to accommodate the different stages of a child’s development and can help correct issues such as flat feet, misalignment, and instability. Our podiatrists also utilize splints for immobilization when necessary, particularly in cases such as clubfoot, ensuring that children receive the appropriate care for their conditions.

Additionally, we provide orthopedic footwear that supports children as they begin to walk, helping to maintain stability and comfort. Our clinic recognizes the importance of proper footwear in preventing pain and facilitating movement, making orthopedic shoes a valuable option for many children. In more severe cases, surgical interventions may be recommended, although they are typically reserved for conditions that do not respond to conservative treatments.

The PiedRéseau Sainte-Marie team includes Dr. Marie-Michelle Gravel, podiatrist-owner; Mélissa Laporte, auxiliary nurse in podiatric care; Mylène Binet-Gauthier, auxiliary nurse in podiatric care; Lucie Roy, administrative assistant/podiatric assistant; Catherine Mercier, administrative assistant/podiatric assistant; and Nadia Couture, administrative assistant/podiatric assistant. Together, they work to provide comprehensive podiatric care tailored to the needs of children in the community.
