Dr. Jean-Philippe Chamberland, podiatrist, is the founder of the PiedRéseau Bromont clinic.

Although he enjoys treating the pain of athletes who seek his expertise, podiatrist Jean-Philippe Chamberland promotes a versatile practice focused on the use of modern tools.

Very current knowledge

Holding a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from UQTR since April 2019, podiatrist Jean-Philippe Chamberland is very aware of the new advances in the treatment of plantar disorders. Among the experiences that have shaped his skills as a therapist, we can notably mention his 4-month externship at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.

Having a strong interest in biomechanics, it was only natural for the podiatrist to be interested in issues related to sports. As a cycling and skiing enthusiast himself, he treats the pain of elite athletes through his therapeutic approach, which includes:

• Assessment of running and walking;
• Management of sports injuries;
• Adaptation of custom orthotics to ski and snowboard boots.

A podiatrist driven by numerous projects

In addition to his own clinic, Jean-Philippe Chamberland also assists Dr. William Lee, podiatric surgeon, in his clinics in Montreal and Brossard. This privileged contact with major interventions allows him to be completely comfortable with pre and postoperative support.

Despite a fully packed schedule, he takes the time to volunteer in various sporting events such as the Bromont Ultra and the Ironman in Mont-Tremblant, to name just a few.

Dr. Laurence Douville Dessureault, podiatrist, joined the PiedRéseau Bromont team in 2022. Her modern approach, interest in sports, and sparkling energy have allowed her to perfectly integrate into the team’s ideals.

Diverse Acquisitions

Laurence Douville obtained her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières in 2022. As part of her training, she completed several internships in private, surgical, and hospital settings, allowing her to develop her skills and competencies in various areas of her profession.

An avid walker and runner, she has a particular interest in biomechanics, especially among athletes of all levels. Her gentleness, patience, and empathetic nature also make her an excellent practitioner with children. Her practice is focused on education and prevention.

An Involved Podiatrist

From the beginning of her university journey, Laurence Douville has been involved in the management of community clinics in Montreal and Quebec.

She regularly assists Dr. William Lee, podiatric surgeon, in his clinics in Montreal and Brossard. This experience provides her with a greater understanding of more invasive surgical interventions, as well as ease in pre- and postoperative patient support.

Always ready to dedicate herself, she has also supervised podiatry students during interventions at the Bromont Ultra, and she volunteers when young podiatry students need to do observational internships.

Émily has been assisting Dr. Chamberland, a podiatrist, in his procedures since 2024. A registered nurse since 2023, she previously worked at Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins (BMP) Hospital for five years. With her experience in various departments of the hospital, her presence at the clinic is highly appreciated by both patients and podiatrists.

Émily’s role at the clinic is very diverse: she assists during surgeries and performs certain care independently. She answers patients’ questions and checks the healing of wounds following procedures with kindness and professionalism. Having worked in sports stores and being knowledgeable about shoes, her advice is very valuable when it comes time to make adjustments.
