Initially interested in occupational therapy, Sur Pio Yip focuses on learning her treatments at McGill University for two years. She then turns to podiatry; it is at this moment that she feels she will dedicate her career to it. During her studies at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), she completes various internships in private clinics as well as in a hospital setting, where she learns concretely and practices wound care and podiatric surgery.
After obtaining her Doctorate in Podiatry, Sur Pio Yip also receives her radiography and ultrasound license, allowing her to quickly make accurate diagnoses in her practice. Thirsty for knowledge useful to her profession, she ensures to stay up to date by following various training courses that help her provide increasingly effective and less invasive care to her patients. Her main areas of interest in podiatry are anatomy, diagnostic ultrasound, and biomechanics.
