Dr. Isabelle Gauthier, podiatrist - PiedRéseau Dorval
Dr. Isabelle Gauthier, podiatrist, graduated from the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine program at the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières and has been a member of the Order of Podiatrists of Quebec since 2016.
During her training, she excelled in several internships in private clinics as well as internships at the regional hospital center of Lanaudière and the hospital center of Trois-Rivières in diabetic wound care. She also successfully completed an internship at the prestigious New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM) in various rotations including surgery, medicine, pediatrics, and orthopedics at the Foot Clinic of New York and the Metropolitan Hospital Center, both located in Manhattan.
Holding a radiology license due to training in radiation protection and radiology during her studies, she is authorized to prescribe and diagnose through radiography.
She also holds an ultrasound license and has a machine at the clinic, which greatly facilitates the diagnosis of several conditions.
During her studies, she volunteered for the satellite clinic project of Lauberivière in Quebec City and at the Bonneau Welcome in Montreal by treating patients. She also volunteered for the Pierre Lavoie challenge by treating injured runners.
After her studies, she taught as a professor at Cégep Marie-Victorin to nursing students.
She has also been serving as president of the professional inspection of the Order of Podiatrists of Quebec since 2018.
Originally from Lachine, Dr. Gauthier, podiatrist, opened the first podiatric medicine clinic in Dorval to practice in her neighborhood.
