Auxiliary nurse and assistant to Dr. Marie-Ève Berthiaume, podiatrist, Julie has been a member of the Order of Licensed Practical Nurses of Quebec (OIIAQ) since 2004. She has been working at the Pointe-de-l’Île Podiatry Clinic as an assistant, auxiliary nurse since April 2016.

Auxiliary nurse and assistant to Dr. Marie-Ève Berthiaume, podiatrist, Julie has been a member of the Order of Licensed Practical Nurses of Quebec (OIIAQ) since 2004. She has a complete training in health assistance and nursing care and is a graduate of the École des Métiers des Faubourgs de Montréal. She has been working since April 2016 at the Pointe-de-l’Île Podiatry Clinic; previously, she worked with a diverse clientele, having already worked in long-term care facilities, she has a lot of experience with the elderly.

Julie has completed several training sessions such as; workshop on the prevention of nosocomial infections, care for clients with cognitive deficits, pharmacotherapy, workshop on Alzheimer’s disease, foot care and psychological aspects, wound care, diabetic ulcers, traumatic wounds, and oncological wounds. Julie has also completed an 8-hour training with Cynosure which allows her to perform laser treatments, specifically the PinPointe for nail fungus. Additionally, she has a vocational diploma in secretarial studies, which allows her to perform certain administrative tasks, making her versatile within our team.

The role of the assistant in our team is to demonstrate good listening skills and sound judgment with our patients. She prepares patients and assesses their medical situation before meeting the Podiatrist. Julie is a conscientious and professional person in the execution of her work.

A member
