Known for his calm and caring approach, Dr. Marc-Antoine Sylvestre, podiatrist, has been practicing since he obtained his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine in June 2018. The following year, he gladly accepted to partner with his former internship supervisor and became co-owner of the PiedRéseau Saint-Hyacinthe clinic. Originally from Maskoutain, Dr. Sylvestre can thus offer a variety of podiatric services to the people of his community.

Movement is health

“Walking is the best medicine for man,” said Hippocrates. This philosophy, attributed to the father of medicine, resonates particularly in Dr. Sylvestre’s practice, who is especially interested in human locomotion and the biomechanics of the lower limbs. He treats podiatric conditions that impact his patients’ walking and running by skillfully balancing their goals with his clinical experience and the latest scientific recommendations. And since he emphasizes providing the best available care to his patients, Dr. Sylvestre holds a certification in foot and ankle ultrasound, as well as a license in radiology.

A podiatrist involved in his community

Dr. Sylvestre has always demonstrated his desire for closeness and mutual aid. He was notably the vice-president of the podiatric medicine student association, then engaged in a humanitarian mission in Vietnam, in addition to his involvement with the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie and Accueil Bonneau. Today, he continues to get involved in local causes that are dear to him, particularly at the Grand Galop social pediatrics center and the Gérard Coté Challenge. This human approach is also reflected in his desire to share his vocation with new recruits, in harmony with his professional values. Since 2022, Dr. Sylvestre has been passing on his expertise to graduating podiatric medicine students, while also serving as an internship supervisor.
