Dr. Jean-François Rivard, podiatrist, has held this position since obtaining his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine in June 2010. Originally from Maskoutain, the practitioner is proud to provide the people of his region with modern treatments and diagnostic tools.
Founder and owner of the podiatric clinic of Saint-Hyacinthe since obtaining his degree, Dr. Rivard, podiatrist, has surrounded himself with a team of dedicated professionals who listen to the concerns of his patients.
An up-to-date training
Podiatrist Jean-François Rivard has always cared about the well-being and support of people. Moreover, before obtaining his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from UQTR, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Sciences from the University of Montreal. This degree allowed him, among other things, to practice as a clinical nurse for two years.
Having an interest in medical imaging and sports biomechanics, Dr. Rivard, podiatrist, has obtained a radiology practice permit as well as a certification in foot ultrasound.
Such qualifications allow him to:
- Use a medical imaging device to establish a diagnosis;
- Interpret the results of radiological examinations administered by other authorized professionals;
- Perform ultrasound-guided injections for his patients or for a colleague’s patients.
This assortment of technical knowledge and official qualifications makes this member of the Order of Podiatrists of Quebec a versatile practitioner.
An involved podiatrist within his association
Passionate about biomechanics and sports medicine, Jean-François Rivard, DPM, founded several years ago the Talaria custom orthotics laboratory.
This innovative laboratory stands out today for its production of 3D custom orthotics with a level of precision and finish that meets the highest global standards in the field.
In addition to his commitments at the Podiatric Clinic of Saint-Hyacinthe and his orthotics laboratory, Dr. Rivard, podiatrist, takes care to get involved in his practice environment. Until recently, he held the position of president of the Association of Podiatrists of Quebec, after having served as vice-president for 6 years.
