Dr.Nathalie Barbeau

 Dr.Nathalie Barbeau

With a diverse background in health sciences, including a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical field (Merck Frosst Canada), Dr. Nathalie Barbeau, podiatrist, was one of the first graduates of the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine program at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in 2008. Podiatry allowed her to fulfill her desire to care for people and improve their well-being.

Dr. Nathalie Barbeau, podiatrist, established her practice at the Clinique Podiatrique Philippe Legaré, where she became an associate two years later. Balancing her professional passion and family, she found time to expand her knowledge through additional training in sports injuries, including Active Release Techniques® (ART®), neuro-proprioceptive taping, Dynamic Tape, Motion and Palpation Institute (MPI), integrated therapeutic foot techniques (TTIP), and several courses on running analysis and musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Driven by her commitment to public protection and the advancement of her profession, she served on the board of directors of the Ordre des podiatres du Québec for five years, representing the regions. She was responsible for the order’s involvement in medication-related matters and played a key role in implementing continuing education for podiatrists in Quebec in 2010-2011.

Throughout her career, Dr. Nathalie Barbeau, podiatrist, has believed in the importance of community involvement. She is a member of the Regroupement des Femmes de carrière de la Mauricie and Femmessor, through which she contributes to her community. She also educates the public on foot health by sharing her passion, serving as a speaker for the Association des diabétiques de la Mauricie, Femmes Dynamiques, and Séminaire St-Joseph. This year, she mentored medical students from the Université de Montréal during Problem-Based Learning on the musculoskeletal system at the CIUSSS de Trois-Rivières. Additionally, she fosters the next generation of podiatric professionals by hosting future podiatrists for a day at her clinic.
